Mix for Scribble Radio June 07 Mix
May 21

So, here’s this month’s mix. A bit too long for one CD but not quite as long as previous “epic” mixes - it was originally planned to be longer but I trimmed out a good few tunes (which might make it into a future mix) before recording it - this one’s got Disco, Boogie, Broken, House, old & new.

WHERE IS YOUR FIRST GIG !?

    6. Frank McGahon Says:

      Cheers Jacco!

Not that it was my first gig (not by a long shot!) but I played at Space Camp in Dublin recently, any forthcoming gigs, I’ll be sure to mention them here…

Loving a lot of these tunes. Spent a year on and off trying to track down the broken version of “Work” — an arduous voyage involving lots of listening to shite versions of all descriptions. (there are about 75). This was a while ago, then I gave up.
Remembered it recently - looked again - saw that some 2007 versions were out - listened to ‘em - oh dear.
Then put in “broken” after the title and found this page. Thanks yeah.
      peace

      Nice one, B

Yeah, same story: been looking for that Work remix for a while myself, ever since I heard Bugz play it on Benji B last year to no avail until this bootleg got released recently…

    9. B Says:

      Nice one Frank -
Out of a fleeting and mild curiosity :-) are you saying that this bootleg is gettable..? ouch.
Either way, you’ll be seeing me around a bit. Been keeping quiet recently but enoughs enough ffs.

    10. Frank McGahon Says:

    11. B Says:

Ordered @ precisely one minute following my seeing your reply.
Will drop it Saturday at some posh house party and freak them out I think :-)
Listen yeah: apart from the fact that you seem a sweet bloke and your mixes are approaching as good as mine - :-) - I really am grateful you’ve pointed me in the right direction for this tune.
      peace out

    12. Frank McGahon Says:

      Good stuff!

No worries, glad I could help

    13. Frank McGahon Says:

Looks like you got the last copy too!

    14. B Says:

I did - this morning (less than 24 hrs later).
As always with these things, by the time you finally find the tune your musical taste has evolved somewhere else.
That can happen even if it takes you a month to find a tune, never mind a year. Does this tune possess the elusive timeless quality? I’ll have to hang onto it for a year or three to fekkin find out I suppose.
As Tracy from the current Big Brother might say: “Ave it”.

    15. Frank McGahon Says:

And sure if you get bored of it, you can always sell it on ebay…
