Thought I’d record this one to listen to on holiday. Starts off after the Dee Dee intro around 89bpm with some latin tunes, then into house, old school hip-house, breaks, broken beat and funky going up to 131bpm.
I dj-ed at Global, Pod Lobby Bar with Michael Black last Friday week. Had some problems trying to get the whole thing recorded but I managed to get my second set down reasonably ok so I thought I’d put it up here:
Bit later than planned, here’s a new mix. I’d been working on this for a few weeks but just hadn’t managed to find the time to record it until now. It’s another epic mix, the longest one so far with 47 or so tunes over three and three quarter hours and goes from 93 bpm up to 140 bpm with a mix of various styles and of old and new. If the 310 mb file is too big to download in one go you can also download it in three parts (each of which can work as a standalone mix).

So here’s a new mix for November, actually had this planned out the week before last but I didn’t get a chance to put it all down since (as I was away in Aruba for a week!) so I got to it last night. Starts off midtempo, deep, a bit of dub type stuff, working up, mostly house with a bit of broken beat and some other stuff. I have another big backlog of new tunes to get through, so hopefully I’ll do another mix or two before the month’s over

Got another one for this month. Got some latin jazz opening and closing this one and it kicks into a slightly higher tempo than usual – 130 bpm or so working down to the mid 120s later on – and more of an emphasis on the four on the floor stuff. I should have a few more broken joints on the next one.
